Job Overview

You will be responsible for creating highly polished sprite art and fluid raster animations. Additionally, you will create prototype assets to produce preproduction prototypes and proof of concepts in collaboration with the game designer and programming team.

  • Design and animate all the (non-GUI) 2D graphic elements of the game
  • Research the game design document to develop a greater understanding of the vision of the game
  • Collaborate with the programmers to assist in the implementation process of all 2D game art
  • Verify the game art and animations after implementation and make any neccesary improvements to ensure the final artwork looks and feels as intended
  • Contribute in rapid prototyping sessions.

Requirements

  • Exceptional Photoshop and animation skills
  • Ability to work quickly, making prototypes, iterations and produce final art at a fast pace
  • 3-5 years experience with 2d graphics and 2d animation (Raster art)
  • Expert knowledge of artistic styles
  • An exceptional understanding of form, shape, color theory, structure, and silhouette
  • Self-motivated - requires minimal direction, can execute the vision for the game art until completion and commit to deadlines
  • Good communication skills - able to address and solve issues as soon as they arise to prevent escalation
  • Deadline oriented - being able to manage and organize work in order to meet all the deadlines and possess the agility required to adjust when changes occur
  • Foundation in the traditional arts
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Discipline to work remotely
