Crimson Brigade
The Crimson lineage was a civilization of nobility, invention and ruthless ambition.
The upper class Duma were the brightest people of the ancient world and eventually
they changed it with their inventions.
They usually invented harmless trinkets to better themselves and the towns they lived in.
The Crimson Empire was a rich and united land with great infrastructure, high towers
and contraptions like transport balloons and perpetual motion machines.
The unification of the land was also one of the projects the Duma undertook; but this
didn't quench their ambitions. Their final invention would change the earth in ways no
one had foreseen. They wanted to unify the living with the dead. The Crimsons created
a pact with the mystic Txamsem Disciples, later known as the Raven Wings. They
wanted to combine Txamsem knowledge of the afterlife with engineering skill only
the Duma possessed. Their goal was to revive their loved ones.
The Txamsem Disciples wanted nothing to do with this idea. Regardless of their approval,
relentlessly researched the topic. The problem was that they weren't adapt in mystical
practices. They knew of physics, mathematics, chemistry and engineering but knew nothing
about the netherworld nor how to translate and interpret messages received by the dead.
Unable to interpret the warning, they continued the project to completion without any idea
of the consequences that would follow. The day the Duma presented their revival machine,
everyone gathered to see if they could reunite with the dead. In an unexpected event a flip
of a switch leveled the entire city.
Ghosts entered the portal corrupting many Crimsons and became known as the Oppressors,
forever changing the balance of the world. A genocide on the Crimson Empire degraded the
super power to a band of divided tribes. The remaining Dumas feared the vengeance of the
oppression. In hiding, they made armor encrypted with the signs of their lineage so It would
never be broken again. Today, the Crimson Brigade, a shadow of its former success, is on the
brink of extinction. Will the Duma ever reclaim the land?
